The Great Western tea estate is situated at the foothills of the majestic Great Western range, reputed to consist of the sixth highest peak in Sri Lanka at an elevation 2215 metres. Known to produce teas categorised under the Dimbula region, the estate is located at an elevation of 1448 metres above sea level. The total acreage of the Great Western Estate is 628 hectares and produces around 615,000 kilogrammes of tea annually.
